LITTLE MIX'S JADE THIRLWALL LOOKS COMPLETELY UNRECOGNISABLE IN UNSEEN SNAP WITH CHERYL

A Little Mix star looked completely different years before she shot to fame with the chart-topping girlband.

Jade Thirlwall first auditioned for The X Factor in 2008, aged just 15, performing a cover of Whitney Houston's Where Do Broken Hearts Go. But sadly, things didn't work out for Jade who was later sent packing by the judges, including Simon Cowell and Cheryl Tweedy.

Following her exit, she returned to the show in 2010 but was sent home again. Things soon changed for Jade though in 2011 when she returned for the eighth series. Despite initially being sent home, Jade was brought back alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson to form Rhythmix, who were eventually renamed Little Mix.

The 31-year-old has now shared a throwback snap with former judge Cheryl after heading to the O2 Arena to see Girls Aloud on their completely sold-out The Girls Aloud Show tour. Taking to Instagram in view of her 10.5 million followers, the songstress who is preparing to launch her solo career looked very different.

Posing with Cheryl, 41, Jade could be seen wearing a silver top paired with blue denim jeans and red ballet shoes as she gazed into the camera lens. While she's known for her glossy and long wavy hair, Jade opted for a slick bob as she wrapped her hand around Cheryl's tiny waist.

Meanwhile, Cheryl looked sensational in a figure-hugging blue gown with her glossy brunette locks flowing over her shoulder as she completed her look with bombshell red lipstick and killer Christian Louboutin heels. It's believed that Jade's debut solo track will be released this summer, with a duet from South African start Tyla.

A source said: "Jade has taken her time with her new music because it's important that her solo record stands out in a crowded marketplace. Her record label also wanted to avoid clashes with her bandmates' releases and they agreed between them that Jade will release next. She has been in private talks with several Little Mix fan groups and has taken their ideas on board and is producing music that pushes the envelope."

The source added: "She is also angling for a duet with 22-year-old Tyla, who has a huge social media following. They are both signed to Sony and their respective A&Rs are trying to make it happen." The news comes after her former bandmate Perrie Edwards played the Capital FM Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium as her first major performance.
